Let happiness be there everywhere
One of my well wishers few days ago called me and said that he has suggested my name to a 'think tank' that would weave dreams and ideas about a just and humane society. He also told me that person looking after the project is a former Professor of IIM and a former Minister. I made it very clear that I am only interested in working towards a just, humane and a vibrant civil society that would respect democratic principles. Later I spoke to the person concerned. I was happy that there are many who share a common concerns. At times like this optimism within me grows stronger, and I feel confident about the future of this country.
I should share something that happened a few days before. As usual I woke up to the morning news paper. A news item drew my attention. News was about a girl from the marginalised community in a remote village, who appeared for PU exams privately and passed with 86% of marks. It was also stated in the news that she had problem to continue her education. I felt that such brains of this land should not be deprived of their right to get good education. I could trace her, contact her parents, and could help her. The girl has now joined a Government College and is going to continue her B.Com., Degree. I feel girls in our society are the worst sufferers, they spend their life in service of others and sacrifice their dreams. They have courrage, confidence, and concern for others. Worst part of the story is it not even acknowledged within the family or in the society.
When women feel that they have no one to look for and no where to go, I have a dream to set up a short stay home for such women. Give them confidence and a helping hand to stand on their feet. The idea is still not concrete but I hope some thing is to be done in this respect.
What we have in this world is sufficient to cater to everyone's need but we have created problem for self and others. We spend our life in creating problems and solving them.
I will value your response to my ideas that I have stated above.
